We are proud to be supporting the My Kind of River photo competition, which is now open for entries until September. At Orvis UK, we understand the importance of capturing a moment in time. Whether it's for our social media platforms, website, or storytelling, photography and fly fishing foster vibrant communities of enthusiasts who share their experiences, knowledge, and passion.
My Kind of River is hosting their first annual Fly Fishing Photography Competition, capturing all that is truly great about the world of fly fishing: the people, the escapism, the adventure, the action and we want to see your moments.
The competition runs until September 15th, so you’ve got plenty of time to capture that unique photograph (or trawl back through your fishing archives). Think of the characters and company you spend time on the water with; the battles, the adrenaline, the heart-in-mouth moments when a fish hits your fly; the incredible places fishing takes you, close to home and abroad, and the tough journeys you take to get there (in all manner of weather); and the little things that others miss, the finer details that make you take a second.
The Judges will be choosing an overall winner, with second and third places receiving prizes as well. There will also be a Caster’s Choice Award, where the highly commended images that just missed out on the top spots will be shared on the My Kind of River website and a winner decided by public votes.
